I think I may have ordered the wrong items from the menu, because I didn’t leave super happy. However, that is my fault. The place was obviously very popular and full! I need to come back to try different menu items.

My first time trying Cabrito and it was a great experience! This restaurant was started by a famous singer in Monterrey and is now run by his son I believe. An Uber driver told me this is the best place to try it in all of Monterrey, not only because its cooked well but its significantly more affordable than the the famous sit down restaurant in Barrio Antiguo. It's located at the top level of Mercado Juarez in centro Monterrey. I think there might be an elevator to get up here, but you'll find a long ramp that gets you here as well. I ordered a plate of different types of tacos that included Asada, Cabrito and something else I didnt understand, but it tasted like organs maybe (I wasnt a huge fan of that one). The Cabrito was pretty good. It's texture is similiar to carnitas, but i'm not sure if it's because it was seasoned well or how its cooked but it just tasted like pork to me (Cabrito is baby goat btw). They have plenty of seating inside and the grill is nearby, so you might smell like it when you leave but thats most places in Mexico. Overall if you're looking to try Cabrito, I would highly recommend this place as the the service and quality of food is A, not to mention the prices are reasonable.
